Mr Evan Gray
Professor Evan Gray is a Professor of Physics, specialising in solid-state physics, at Griffith University. He has been an active researcher in hydrogen storage for more than 25 years and operates the National Hydrogen Materials Reference Facility to provide authoritative measurements of hydrogen uptake by materials under a very wide range of conditions. Evan’s research group has always worked on fundamental aspects of the hydrogen-metal interaction, such as the mechanism of hydride formation and the origin of pressure hysteresis. Newer projects are increasingly related to hydrogen energy technology, including multi-physics modelling of the measured hydrogen distribution in metal-hydride canisters, Simulink modelling of energy system components, system-level modelling and the Sir Samuel Griffith Centre.
