Mr Alex Körner
Mr Alex Körner is a consultant in the field of international energy and climate policy making. He is focussing on developing and promoting strategies to achieve a sustainable transport sector by pushing both technological and behavioural change towards the more efficient use of resources. Alex Körner is the principal author of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Technology Roadmap on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells, and contributing author to various other IEA publications, such as the Energy Technology Perspectives series. He is strongly involved in the Global Fuel Economy Initiative (GFEI) to foster the uptake of fuel economy policies, in order to reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions at minimal cost. Prior to founding his own consultancy, he worked as an energy analyst within the Energy Technology Policy Division of the IEA. Before joining the IEA in 2011, he was a research assistant at Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) working on integrated assessment modelling. Alex Körner studied at the Technical University of Berlin and holds a Master’s Degree in Power and Process Engineering.
